(Re)introducing myself...
Well! Hello again, the Internet. How are you on this strange, ominous (yet oddly thrilling) evening?
I recently made the brave and inspiring decision to open this semi-private blog to a wider audience, including all of the fine so-and-so’s who make up the Bear Blog web community.
Welcome to those who are new! I haven’t seen many Bear Blogs dedicated to fiction writing, so I hope this website offers a refreshing and delicious change of pace.
To mark the occasion, I will share some fun facts about myself:
I am Pete Switzerland.
I was born with green eyes, but they turned blue following a traumatic childhood experience involving a fiery car wreck and a melted ice cream sundae.
I have never eaten a strawberry. This isn’t due to any sort of aversion or ill will; I simply haven’t gotten around to it.
I once taught President George W. Bush’s dog, a Scottish Terrier named Barney, how to “shake.”
I once violently shook President Joe Biden’s son, a man named Hunter, after he crashed his SUV into my parked Ford Fiesta outside of a Costco. I jostled him and shouted, “GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!” when he ran out of his car screaming that it was filled with bees. I assumed this was some sort of stress-induced hallucination, but it turned out there really was a large swarm of agitated bees buzzing around inside the vehicle. It’s still unclear how the bees got there.
I love animals.
Now that you’ve learned a bit about me... I’d love to get to know you, dear readers!
Please feel free to sign my guestbook — or you can say hello by emailing inessentialreading@gmail.com.
Okay!
Best,
Pete Switzerland
